FREE FLU MIST
The Loudon County Health Department will be at all three schools during the week of September 27th to administer free flu mist to any student who has returned the required permission slip. This vaccine will protect your child from both regular flu and H1N1. All permission slips must be completed and returned to the school by September 15, 2010. Permission slips will be sent home by Friday, September 3rd. Click here if you would like to print a permission slip (Flu Mist Student Consent Form) or other related forms. If you have any questions, contact Mary Harding, Coordinated School Health Coordinator, at 988-2073.

Meet the Principal
- LCHS will host a Q & A for parents of  9th  – 11th grade students on Thursday, September 16, at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Parents of seniors should meet in the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. with Mr. Jeff Sweeney, Senior Counselor. Parent Teacher Conferences for all students may be scheduled from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. 

PTC Tuesday, October 26th 3:30 until 6:30 pm



LCHS College Day is October 1st for Juniors and Seniors 8:30 am until 10:00am in the Gym

Career and College Planning
Sept. 16th will be a college and career planning presentation by Ruthie Cawood from Student Outreach Services.

October 26th will be a financial aid workshop presented by Bob Perry, a financial aid driector from a local college.

Both will be from 5:30 to 6:30 in the cafeteria.

    Lenoir City High School is now a testing site for the October 23rd ACT Test.  Students who want to take the October ACT and not pay a late fee need to register by September 17.  Registration information is available online. 
 
 
The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society. If you are a senior and that sounds like you, then visit www.horatioalger.org/scholarships by October 30th for instructions on how to apply for scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $20,000.
 
 
Seniors, ETSU is hosting its annual Discover ETSU event and fall open house on the weekend of November 19th and 20th. Go to www.etsu.edu/admissions for more information.
 
 
 
All Action Service Learning students need to go by Mrs. Frazier’s room (106) to pick up t-shirts.
Swim team signup will be held at Lenoir City Swim Pool on Saturday September 11 from 11am until 1pm. The first practice will be Sept 27 at the Lenoir City Pool starting at 3:45pm. We have 2 new coaches preparing for a great Panther Swimming season so "Take Your Mark"
 
     

County Bus Schedule Differences
On November 2nd, 2010 County Busses will not run but Lenoir City High School still has classes.
On January 3rd, 2011 County Busses will not run and the High School has Exam Make-Up's and Registration Day.
