The mission of Lenoir City High School is to nurture the talent, intellect, and character of each student in order to prepare them to be active citizens of a global community.

1. The promotion of student learning is fostered through: (a) positive relationships among students, staff, and the community; (b) a safe environment, and (c) a relevant and rigorous curricula and activities.
   
2. Instructional practices should incorporate a variety of learning activities that appeal to differences in learning styles.
   
3. Each student is a valued individual with unique emotional, social, academic, and physical needs; therefore, students from all categories may require special services and resources to best facilitate competent and confident decision making.
   
4. Academic differentiation and cultural diversity enhance students’ understanding of different cultures and enrich their learning environment.
   
5. A challenging, supportive learning environment utilizes a variety of assessment tools and technology to increase student academic performance and appropriate decision making.
   
6. In order for a school and its students to be successful, the school’s decisions must adhere to State and local policy.
   
7. Teachers, support personnel, administration, parents, students, and the community should be involved in and support all policies and decisions.
