DINZLE ADAMS -1958

Playing football and baseball, Dink earned 8 letters for the Panthers. He played football 4 years, he started 3 years and as a senior, he finished seventh in the state in scoring with 88 points. A shifty runner on offense, he also played defensive back. He started 4 years in baseball, earning All Conference honors his last 3 years. He had a career batting average of .434. He went to Tennessee Tech, lettering 2 years in football before an injury ended his career. He also lettered 3 years in tennis, placing second in Division 3, OVC Tournament. He coached high school football for 16 years and then served 21 years as Assistant Principal, Principal and Athletic Director. In 2008 he was honored with the naming of the Knoxville's Hall High School Football Field in his name, Dinzle "Dink" Adams Field. He was elected to the LCHS Hall of Fame in 2006.
